Why Using AI in Your Business is Not Cheating!
AI is still relatively new to many of us and I often see people saying they can spot AI-written content instantly and that it’s all boring, copycat material. Personally, I think it all comes down to how you use it. Over the past few months, I’ve set aside time each week to dive deep into AI tools and learn how to use them to my advantage.
AI is growing at an astonishing pace - its capabilities are reportedly multiplying by 3.3 times every month. Before long, everyone will have the ability to personalise content, systems and workflows exactly to their needs. For small business owners, learning how to use AI effectively isn’t optional - it’s the key to staying ahead.
I’ve always been more of a numbers person. At school, English was never my strong point, so writing copy has always been time-consuming and challenging for me. That’s why I run my ideas through tools like ChatGPT before I hit publish. It’s not about letting AI take over - it’s about using it to polish my words, streamline my work and save time.
As a Virtual Assistant, I see AI as a way to work smarter for my clients. I use it to speed up admin tasks, carry out research and draft content so I can spend more time on the high-value, human side of support - the things that require empathy, creativity and lived experience.
For my clients, that means faster turnaround times, more polished results and the reassurance that they’re getting the best of both worlds: the efficiency of technology and the insight of someone who truly understands their business.
Whether I’m organising events, streamlining your inbox, or updating your LinkedIn profile, AI helps me work more efficiently but my personal touch ensures it never feels robotic. It’s not about replacing people; it’s about freeing up your time so you can focus on the parts of your business that only you can do.
